Replacing Door Locks
One simple repair you can make before renting an apartment of home is to change all of the locks on the doors. These days, security is a big concern for everyone and having new locks where nobody else has a key can bring a good piece of mind. Have the tenants pay a small key deposit, or hold their security until they return the keys.

Replacing a door lock is very easy. Simple unscrew the cover from the inside and the cover plate on the side of the door. Then pull out the door knobs and push out the lock and replace it with the new lock.
